HOW TO CROSS THE ROAD

Everyone should know how to cross a road.
Everyone is taught of how to cross roads safely.
Everyone must know what to do to cross a road.
So, what to do?

"First look right, look left, then look right again. If and only if CLEAR, then CROSS THE ROAD carefully and safely."

- Do not run
- Do not SMS on the mobile phone
- Do not laugh and walk slowly with friends
- Do not play
- Do not ignore road signs and traffic lights

Ok, many of you will think, why am I repeating all these steps? Its easy!!!... Well, there are still so many people out there that dont know how to cross a road! Especially students and adults. Everyday when I am driving, I always notice so many of them dont know how to cross roads. Many are SMSing on their phones, playing and running on the middle of the roads, and many more dangerous acts. Is this what we have to witness everyday? Its like no one cares about them being hit by cars and on-coming traffic.

Radio announcements and tv advertisements are posted out publicly but yet no positive results shown so far. Well, lets see how it goes and time will only tell...

Ken...this post really made me laugh....its sound like some lesson taught by teachers to children.

"First look right, look left, then look right again. If and only if CLEAR, then CROSS THE ROAD carefully and safely."

But its very taughtfull of you to be concern on this issue. But mostly pedestrian are dangered by drivers so if drivers are carefull then there should not be much of a issue on safety. As to me i come accross many drivers not stopping at red light to allow pedestrians to cross.

This entry made you laugh? How come ar? hehehe...
Well, it is true that these lessons are taught by teachers to children. But then these children are still not obeying them and taking them seriously.
Ok, you do have a point there regarding the drivers. Yes, if the drivers dont stop at red lights, then the children will sure "kena" edi... Also, I noticed drivers also dont stop/give way at zebra crossings!!!

Well, all these actions have clearly misdemeanored this country's road safety. No one is safe out there on the roads no matter you are a pedestrian or the driver of a car.
